LITHUANIAN TEAM

The Lithuanian Team conducted two dissemination activities, one with teachers and one with youth.

Dissemination with Teachers:

In the dissemination activity with teachers, we went through the activities and tasks we've done during the training and disseminated them. We started the entire dissemination with a short presentation of the project and the topic of the project we were on. We continued the lecture by explaining the activities, seminars, and workshops at hand.

Dissemination with Youth

On 7th of December, 2022, Lithuanian representatives of the REDIEL, Cyprus project had the opportunity to hold a mini-lecture, dissemination, and creative workshop about their experience in Cyprus, for youth in school. We started the entire dissemination with a short presentation of the project and the topic of the project we were on. We continued the lecture with a joint energizer - Tingi-Tango and held a mini-lecture on the inclusion of environmental locations.

REDIEL isn't my first Erasmus + project. I work with similar projects. However, I loved REDIEL. It was great atmosphere, good company, professional trainers and interesting tasks. I came to the training with the idea just to learn about discrimination and share some of my own experiences but ended up going deeper in myself, connecting to different beautiful participants and letting go of some of my own issues. It is true, that if you want to teach someone how to let go of the problems or deal with them, you have first to experience it yourself and then you can teach other people. I got to know different exercises that I could re-use in the organization where I work, in trainings or team building as well as some techniques that could be adapted to my personal life. I bonded with different people and had ideas for future projects as well as got involved in some new projects. I feel like REDIEL was multi-layer project for me and taught me things I didn't know or reminded other things that needed to be reminded. Another plus of the training, was perfect weather and environment, I loved every moment of stay in Pissouri. The weather certainly helped to work in more relaxed environment for me, as Lithuanian, because it's minus temperatures now in Lithuania and Cyprus was like Lithuanian summer. I feel grateful to all the team and participants that taught me different aspects about discrimination and how everything starts from our inner self.

REDIEL is my first adult-only Erasmus+ project. The project was great. To justify this, I would like to emphasise the essential points:

• cool, consistent, responsible manager of our team, Asta.

• our friendly team with common interests.

• excellent, communicative, caring, knowledgeable organizers, and training leaders.

• creative participants.

• warm, beautiful country, region.

• wonderful teaching environment and excellent living conditions.

I am a teacher, so it was very interesting and extremely useful for me not only the topic itself, which was examined in various aspects, but also social games for getting to know each other, team building, forms of group work, which I already use in classes. It was interesting to observe the homework tasks - the task itself, and the methods of presentation, chosen aspects - others, reflecting the region, mentality, any and common points of contact. Everything I experienced in training is useful for me as a person and as a teacher.

This is my first Erasmus+ project (REDIEL) in which I participated as a teacher. The topic of discrimination has always been (and is) sensitive to me, because it is closely related to the bullying which I experienced as a teenager, and also sometimes notice in my working environment as a teacher among students and sometimes adults. The project's goals, such as developing empathy, emotional awareness of discrimination, developing trust, understanding one's own and/or others' ethnocentrism, prejudices, developing intercultural learning skills and many others, helped not only to better understanding of the importance of restoring the connection with nature, but also encouraged to know oneself as a person, as a part of nature. Perfect weather conditions, delicious food, cozy accommodation, pleasant communication, comfortable and friendly learning environment, professional leaders of learning activities - all this proved once again that learning can (and should) bring pleasure. I am grateful to the leaders of ACPELIA, the organization that hosted us, for the well-organized training, which will definitely have continuity in my daily activities, working with children and youth. I am grateful to NGO Social Effect Network and personally to Asta Kondrakevičiūtė for the opportunities and trust given to us to represent our country and our region. This is the most sincere thanks to all project participants(from very different countries) who unconditionally shared their thoughts, ideas, discussed, and together solved the problems and tasks raised during the training. This proved once again that we are all different, but all equal, that we are all part of nature and in one way or another, dependent on each other. New friendships and acquaintances made during the project not only helped to broaden my personal horizons, but also strengthened my inner world. I look forward to new projects.

I had heard about the Erasmus+ project from my colleagues, I was interested in the opportunity to participate, but I was afraid because I only speak German and Russian. To go to this project I was motivated by the desire to look at the "kitchen" of this project from the inside and also I love to travel. In addition, I never refuse the opportunity to change myself, I think that it is necessary for a teacher to study all life. What I learned in this project exceeded all expectations. While participating in the games, I saw how I will apply them in educational activities in a different environment - on the territory of the school and hometown, on field trips to nature and the city. While communicating with people from other countries, I noticed their sincerity and directness. It was fascinating to work in groups. I always felt the help of my colleagues, the project managers professionalism and friendliness. The nature of the discussions, the variety of tasks and methods will allow me to develop as a teacher and engage even more with my students. I liked the discussions a lot, I still use them in my classes, but the way how to create reflections was new and very interesting to me. An orientation walk in the town of Pissouri also made me think on how such hikes can be adapted as different activity in my immediate environment.

I am very grateful to my colleagues Ina and Neringa and our partner, English teacher Asta for their sincerity and support whenever needed. I appreciated possibility to learn English, I developed courage when discussing and expressing my opinion, also for the desire of my colleagues to know and learn as much as possible, and beyond amazing time spent on the island of cats and flowers in Cyprus. I was able to apply the theoretical knowledge of Geography in practice and to share wonderful images and new educational methods with students. I think I was lucky to get into an activity that promotes the cooperation of its participants, develops imagination, and expands psychology and pedagogy knowledge. I know how much I need to learn, I plan to improve my English skills, I think that such projects are necessary and very useful for teachers and youth workers.
