NORTH MACEDONIAN TEAM

Follow Up Activity

The physical dissemination activity for the REDIEL project took place in Sevlievo, Bulgaria during the days of the youth exchange YOUR FOOD, YOUR IMPACT.

The attendees were the participants, their group leaders, and members of the local community. The profile of participants in this activity was young people concerned about the environment, environmentalists, youth leaders, youth workers and facilitators. The age range of the participants was from 14 to 50 years.

The activity was a workshop that started with an energizer and then proceeded with an introduction to the REDIEL project and the aims and objectives we are trying to make. The workshop continued with an activity to define and discuss environmental locations in Sevlievo and what they are lacking. Finally, the workshop ended with a debriefing session.

The duration of the workshop was 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The impact made on the participants was one which we would best describe as an enlightening one. The participants were positively surprised about certain inclusion aspects and they have had their eyes opened to the needs of various disadvantaged groups regarding environmental access and enjoyment.

PARTICIPANTS' IMPRESSIONS FROM THE PROJECT:

MARIJA JOVCHESKA

This is not the first project I have attended where ACPELIA was the coordinator or host. As usual, the organisation provided excellent support with the logistics for the entire Macedonian team but let's start from the beginning.

I personally collaborated on this project with the rest of the partners since the preparation of the application and must say that from the very first moment, I have received all the necessary information about what the project would be and what it aims to achieve. The same continued after the project approval.

We have received a detailed timetable to monitor the project development and make sure we don't breach the deadlines or, at least, not impact the project negatively.

The training team had the participants' well-being as a priority and each of us was given an opportunity to share and take from the activities useful information and knowledge and upgrade our skills.

What I appreciate most about this project, apart from the solid cooperation, is the fact that I gained something very valuable - an insight into me, and new partnerships. Being a project developer I realise just how crucial networking is to creating excellent new projects to improve our communities. REDIEL provided it all. I am happy and grateful to have been a part of it in all its stages.

REDIEL was my first training project and I really enjoyed it simply because I got to meet so many new individuals. Throughout the events, we collaborated intricately to find solutions to the difficulties we confront. We talked about diversity and inclusion and learnt about the issues that people in various nations face. We also had the chance to take a walk and tour Cyprus, specifically the city of Limassol. It was quite enjoyable, and I want to take part in such initiatives in the future.

KRISTINA TODOROSKA

REDIEL was well-organized - there was a set schedule for the entire training, and all activities were nicely planned beforehand.

Working in teams was a good approach for an intercultural setting like this one, as we had the opportunity to share knowledge and ideas easily. Also, I really liked that we were able to visit different places in Cyprus as a part of the project.

As a participant, I received all the necessary information and support from our organization 'EKO Leshnik' (the Republic of North Macedonia). We didn't face any difficulties or issues during the project thanks to the great organization by ACPELIA.
